By William Hill, published 16/9/2016

Donald Trump's absurd candidacy for the presidency has obscured the broad-based resentment at continuing levels of immigration and the problems faced by lower income Americans.

While D Trump could be successfully accused of being a homophobic racist and rabid misogynist? He didn't get to be a billionaire by accident! Yes sure he came from a wealthy background and was schooled in a military style college by his "doting" parents!

So for all his perceived/publicized flaws, he has to have a grasp on economics and the role of the military in progressing it? Just as it did after Pearl Harbor, when the US went into overdrive to produce more planes, ships, tanks and weapons of war!

The fact that it was virtually bankrupt at the time proved no impediment! And given a Trump presidency? Made to happen again?

To repeat what occurred last time! An unprecedented period of post war prosperity! [Which by the way retired the then record breaking debt problem!]

And a cold war style arms race that virtually turbocharges the global economy can't be all bad? Even as the world watches and holds its breath, waiting for armageddon!? And given it occurs on D Trumps watch? Sure to make the US great again!?
Great balls of fire! Is he hot or what?

The comparison is not exact, but Pauline Hanson owes her popularity on policies similar to Trump and has the same type of followers.

"Donald Trump's absurd candidacy for the presidency has obscured the broad-based resentment at continuing levels of immigration and the problems it brings", or so says our bright eyed bushy tailed young fellow, still rather wet behind the ears, & lacking a bit of maturity, so still heavily left leaning.

Sorry to inform you young fellow, it is Trumps candidacy is like a lightning rod in that has highlighted & concentrated this very problem, which the elites have been trying to ignore for years.

All the B grade economists & treasurers have been using immigration to keep the employment up. That it makes every existing citizen of a country poorer for every migrant legal or illegal is not their interest, just pretending all is well is what they desire.

Any thinking intelligent person knows that illegal immigration, & the refugee intake, is slowly destroying the living standard of citizens wherever it occurs.

So the question is, are you an intelligent thinking person? If in the unlikely event that you are, please explain just why you want to destroy our living standards?

The old immigration system, post WW11 was nation building. We allowed you in, then chucked you in at the deep end. You worked your guts our, like all of us, or sank. What we have today is slow destruction of all we have worked for by keeping the useless as pets.

African gangs & Muslim jihadists do not make good pets

William Hill doesn't really get it despite his efforts to do so.
"In his own brash fashion Trump has managed to pose as a conservative Republican while propounding some very un-Republican positions on welfare and immigration."

Simply put, It's a revolt against the establishment; including establishment republicans.

Trump is the symptom. Clinton is the disease.

Trump, even with his rough edges, is fresh breeze that could blow away the mouldy old professional political class. We could do with a breeze here, to knock down the endless cardboard cutouts. A breeze to clean out all immigration except that of skilled workers we don't have; removal of the suicidal policy of multiculturalism; replacement of the pathetic judiciary with judges and magistrates with the backbone to actually lock public enemies up; citizen initiated referenda; abolition of the HRC in favour of perfectly good laws already available and, of course, getting rid of and welfare for working age people capable of working, but not wanting to. The last also refers to "refugees" who are merely here for the welfare. These crooks never try to get into a country where there is no, or little, welfare

Donald Trump for President...Ya...and why!

KISS theory states;
Democracy: is the cloak of the bitch.
The bitch: the "bitch" is the power system of the elite.
The elite: a narrow collection of the ruling classes, (formed from the PEM).
The deluded masses: the broad band of society, all aspiring to elitism as their God.
Election: an elitists conspiracy, enabling control of the masses, facilitating domination of wealth and power.
The President: strictly a theatrical head of State, acceptable to the delusional mass image of democracy, (as it should be in mass theory).
Donald Trump as President of the U.S.of A: a Jester, with the ability to entertain the unintelligent masses, Allowing the elite to "party-on"!

Trump has no convictions or real policies about anything except glib soundbites that sound attractive to his supporters; a sympon of narcissistic personality disorder.

In fact Trump is merely a sympton, like Hanson, UKIP and many mainstream (mostly 'conservative') parties have been helping to mainstream hate for supposed political advantage; according to GOP Republican policy from Goldwater onwards.

Goldwater managed to put offside the GOP's significant black constituency (was 20%+ but now about 1%) and other minority votes. This means eventual political irrelevance through demographic change, unless they can implement some form of dictatorship to entrench nativism.

One of the main drivers of this policy for past decades has been 'environmentalist' John Tanton, an admirer of the white Australia policy and is linked via numerous 'nativist' and related groups he has founded:

https://www.splcenter.org/20090201/nativist-lobby-three-faces-intolerance

FAIR is one of these groups and former Executive Director Kirchner advises Trump on immigration:

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/09/14/trump-camp-slams-obama-clinton-plan-force-americans-accept-more-refugees-we-need-focus-helping-americans/

I'd assume like others, Trump views his own public supporters as losers acting as brownshirts (who will be ditched when their use by date is reached) in favour of the silent wealthy and educated elites in the background who admire eugenics, population control, autocracy, order etc..

Your a sick duck Andrus Smith...
And would you prefer the opinions of that "other" high profile Australian environmentalist, the homosexual Bob Browns, radical left wing views?
Unfortunately he is white, but poor Bob can't help that outcome at all.

With views like yours, we now witness the revolution of the White elite stronghold on power, transforming itself into a Chinese haven for croked money and corruption, on a grand scale in Australia. Yes, immigrants rewriting the rule books from the top down, by political donations to favoured politicians, that turns the American rule book of Capitalist dogs, into a puppy play school manual.

And the Dragon of the White Australia a Policy? It's fools such as yourself, with no vision of a successful future for Australians and Australia, outside of a neoliberal economic system, that produces blind trators, wishing and hoping for a reinvention history. GFYI....

I agree partially about Bob Brown, but his 'colonial' views not as a person. In my opinion his views are not dissimilar to many old left/right conservatives on immigration when offering advice on what they should do.

For example, he said some years ago, if I remember well, that international students from less developed nations who are eligible should not remain in Australia post study but return home to help their own country.

However, I don't ever recall him offering this advice to Europeans studying in Oz, let alone Australians educated on tax payers who emigrate to work in UK etc., while Australia has its own remote and less developed regional communities needing support? It all sounds a bit elitist and top down to me.....
