Incentives and peace: part 1 : Comments

By Alon Ben-Meir, published 18/8/2016

Unless distrust, insecurity, and illusions are first addressed, no incentives-however sweeping and compelling-will motivate Israel and the Palestinians to make the critical concessions needed to reach a peace agreement.

Yes, lots of things could be done Alon, starting with the end of new settlements and the bulldozing of those created by squatters? I just don't see any appetite in today's Israel or Gaza or their current administrations for genuine justice or essential compromise?

Yes, lots of things could be done, just don't hold your breath waiting for a real statesman to emerge from either side of this conflict?

There are no imperatives that would encourage either side to make or keep agreements? Without which this can only ever end badly!?

How can there be peace when Iran and its clients, Hezbollah and Hamas are sworn to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth? Iran wants war with America, the Big Satan; and Israel, the Little Satan, is one step on the way. Iran wants hegemony in the Middle East, and it also truly believes that Islam can eventually rule the world. I don't think there will ever be peace for Israel, which is already a hinderance to their (Iran's) long range, maniacal plans.

For now , Syria's rebels and Gaza's Hamas are against ISIS who may be failing. However the Koran ( peace be upon it's paper and ink) says that Issa and Mahdi will lead Syria's army in victory ( peace be upon it's rocket-launchers) against Israel which awaits Messiah the army-general to give Israel victory (shalom).

There will never be any peace in this world, Alon, until the Islamic religion reforms itself and stops trying to kill everybody who is either not a Muslim, or who is the wrong kind of Muslim.

Butt hat is unlikely to happen while ever people like yourself blame the west, Israel, oppression, poverty, and any thing else that they can think up instead of criticising the "religion of Peace."

Although, I can understand your reticence. If you criticise Islam, the Muslims will kill you. And if you criticise Islam in the ACT or Canberra, the social justice warriors of the loony left will use their new blasphemy law to stick you in jail.

It will be heaven for ISIS Hamas Al Qaida and all cut-throats but a bit noisy with eternal massacres with feasting and wine. Their land of heaven will be everywhere where Israel was given land under Abraham.
According to hadith, there are eight doors of Jannah ( heaven). Their names are as following:
Bāb al--Ṣalāh: For those who were punctual in prayer.
Bāb al-Jihād: For those who took part in jihad.
One day in paradise... Large trees are described, mountains made of musk, between which rivers flow in valleys of pearl and ruby.
The names of four rivers are Saihan (Syr Darya), Jaihan (Amu Darya) ( on south border of Russia), Furat (Euphrates) ( Iraq) and Nil (Nile).
