The historically successful "Command and Control" structure of the Catholic Church (as one example), appears finally to be coming undone, and IMO, not before time.

One possible result of the scandals referred to by the author might be that anyone still calling themselves a Christian may decide they don't require any person to stand between them and their God.

With that new-found freedom however, there does come responsibility -
particularly if they are parents.

What's even more worrying is that these problems have been going for years... maybe for centuries?
And so little has been done to stop them happening.

Poor old Julia Gillard- not a lot was achieved during her bumbling time in office, or even the whole Rudd Gillard Rudd Abbot Turnbull era ( the RUGRAT era, someone called it)
