Saudis planning for a war of attrition in Europe with Russia's oil industry : Comments

By Nicholas Cunningham, published 20/11/2015

Russia's economy has been battered by the collapse in crude prices, compounded by the screws of western sanctions. The Russian economy could shrink by 3.2 percent this year.

I'd support Russia over the Saudi's anyday.

Saudi Arabia was involved in 911 and the start of this whole 'War on Terror'.
The '28 pages' document from 911 should be made public.

The fact there is an oil war now going on might be some indication to maybe think that one of the reasons behind all these wars is oil.

That one of the reasons for Syria is Saudi Arabia wanting to build an oil pipeline through Syria to service Europe and undermine Russia.

That the wars going on and stated to be about 'religion' are actually funded and pushed for reasons of geopolitics not religion.

Religion is just the vehicle the gets the job done.

The US 'dog in the fight' is protecting the US global hegemony and the Petrodollar, as well as a larger Israeli strategy from US neocons.

Imacentristmoderate,
Russia would never join NATO.
If you have time to watch this video 'Putin in Valdai' do so.

In Putin's speech he says a few things, one of which is that NATO countries need to have one of their Heads of State, like Secretary of Defense or something, pre-approved by Washington.
Russia would never agree to that.

He also said that all the rebel fighters fighting in wars in the M/E are paid mercenaries and the the US strategy in the M/E has caused all the current Islamic extremism.

At last it is becoming more obvious to the West,
That it would be in their best interest to have Putin
And Russia as an Allie.
I have thought this for a long time.

We certainly don't need him as an enemy.

I really do wonder at the ability of America and Western countries
To get things right.

Even this idea, of ousting Assad and putting in new government.
Did they learn nothing from Iraq?

Assad, has an army and tribe around him who strongly support him.
It is they who will have to Agree to his removal
Much like the Sunnis being dispossed in Iraq.

Putin sees the situation more clearly I think.
