A government can stay irrational longer than it can stay solvent.

Rhosty, calm down.
I have tried to find a study and paper such as I asked you for but have not found any, so I asked you since you raised the subject.

I am aware the experts say coal and oil is made from ancient vegetable matter but I think most people consider that involves trees and grass, not almost pure algae or ocean algae.

You know I focus on ocean algae killing ocean food web ecosystems, and algae impacting weather.

The question I asked is fair and I am not challenging you in any way, Rhosty.

I ask again, do you know of any paper linking algae ALONE to coal and oil?

Here is an example of what you Rhosty, said for me to look for.

So now I ask, what specifically is sediment? What type of sediment? What plants?
If algae, then surely that should read "plant matter", not plants.

I consider our comment here is on topic because science is only now learning how to viably produce fuel from algae and that obviously threatens existing OPEC associated oil producers.

Anyway, from what I see appears missing from the brief below, some people still have a lot to learn. And I would like to see what they already know or might know in the future, about ocean algae.

Copied and pasted.....

How Are Oil/Natural Gas Formed? - Adventures in Energy
www.adventuresinenergy.org/...Oil.../How-Are-Oil-Natural-Gas-Formed....
Over millions of years, layer after layer of sediment and other plants and bacteria were formed. Stage 2 - As they became buried ever deeper, heat and pressure began to rise. The amount of pressure and the degree of heat, along with the type of biomass, determined if the material became oil or natural gas.
