Are aliens afraid of the dark? : Comments

By Everett Themer, published 1/9/2015

The images of lights glowing eerily in the darkness or flashing from a spacecraft as it shoots through the sky are more a product of the television and movie industries than of science.

//why would a UFO need lights at all//

Because although us aliens might be able to see in the dark, you humans cannot. And if your UFO gets crashed into by a jumbo because you forgot to put the parking lights on while you were anally probing rednecks and mutilating cattle, you'll be the laughing stock of the Venusian Space Agency for the next three hundred (Earth) years.

Hi Suse, not all that long ago, we refused to believe that simple bacteria caused stomach ulcers!

Refusal to believe didn't change the now thoroughly proven fact that that is exactly the actual cause!

Scientists are now finding more solar type suns and earthlike planets in the coldilocks zone needed to create liquid water; the basis of life as we know it!

And more common/numerous than once thought?

In fact there are more stars in our milky way than grains of sand on all the beaches of the world!?

Even as hard it is to conceive the average human brain has 50 billion circuits; or the human body has something in the order of 100 trillion cells!?

all arrived at by pure chance and endless absolute perfectly timed sequential opportunities for life to blossom entirely on its own!

We can produce pseudo life as viruses in the laboratory; however that requires a precisely timed sequence of events and an overseeing intelligence!

And I find it almost incomprehensible that the universe manifested by itself from nothing; as a consequence of chance or fortuitous serendipity. I need to believe in a creative force or pure unadulterated magic!

Nor are there the vast nitrogenous coke deposits that would prove that the conditions once existed for the production, by absolute chance of the single celled organisms; said by some to be the forerunner of life on planet earth as we know it!?

In fact the odds are better than chance creating life, for a whirlwind whipping through a junkyard and creating a fully functionable and flyable 747! Better odds!

However, I bow to your superior knowledge of absolutely no other intelligent life in the entire universe, and a shame really, given there is bugger all down here on planet earth!

Oh don't fret so Rhosty : )

No one knows for sure there are Gods/Creators, anymore than they know there are alien life-forms...yet. I do think there is more chance that we may find alien life out there one day, rather than finding proof of any creator being though.

Does there have to be a 'reason' or 'creator' for the beginning of life on our planet?
If so, why?
Can't it just be?
I would hazard a guess we never find out that mystery because it was just too long ago, but I could be wrong.

Hmmm....the meaning of life.
