An unbalanced budget : Comments

By Bruce Haigh, published 12/5/2015

Creative and lateral thinking, nurturing resources and a positive vision for the future are swamped by the negativity and fear generated by the government's deliberate over reaction to the threat of terror.

Sorry Bruce, but I think it is a politically astute budget, and sets the Government up for a winnable double dissolution election before the next one, given the amount of policy and or critical "savings" being blocked in the Senate!

But particularly with the polls showing a positive narrowing trend, and the recent shock election win by the Tories; and because the Nats are showing an unusual independent streak of late!?

And because they've greased the wheels of small business, working mums and drought affected farmers; and have made some "moves" winding back some serious tax evasion!?

All of which should be popular; and only blocked if at all, by the serially obstructionist Labor and Green controlled Senate?

And given that's so, move enough votes to allow Tony and the coalition to win a double dissolution election; (in three or four months) which by the way, might also give them control in the Senate; and for three long years!? N.B.

Afterthought: The latter being dependent on moving to optional preferencing, which should be enough to destroy most of the minor party's prospects!

Another loopy communique from Bruce Haigh, sole resident of his own lonely planet.

Decrease spending on defence and on border protection, open the flood gates to every unskilled third world Muslim that wants to come. Yeah that's what every Australian has on their lips as they anticipate tonight's budget.

While we are making wish lists Bruce, don't forget free universities, no income testing for welfare recipients, $50/hr minimum wage, and an annual tax payer funded overseas trip for retirees.

As Brucy is graced with a Wiki entry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Haigh rising to "Clerk Class 11" and now growing grapes - he should drink more and write less tripe.

That might be the trouble plantagenet, perhaps he has already drunk too much before he sits down at the keyboard.

His garbled ramblings give me the impression he is pushing to be called up by our ABC. He is at least as far left, & about as silly, so they may want him as a commentator.

You can brace yourselves for a real horror budget if the Coalitions plans come to fruition.
Scenario is: wait till the polls show a good chance of success with this "new" fake budget.
Call a DD election and hopefully win a majority in the Senate as well as the lower house.
Once ensconced with a commanding majority in both houses bring in the draconian budget and legislation that will make the 2014 budget look like a lolly shop.
Also bring in legislation that will give them a good chance of holding power indefinitely.
They will have a good chance of success knowing the floating voters inability to see the trees for the woods and being ready to be bought by a good carpet bagging.
May we be truly grateful for what is about to hit us.
