@ JohnBennetts
I had a look at http://www.bree.gov.au/files/files//publications/aes/2014-australian-energy-statistics.pdf and noticed it was based on the financial year before last. I also noticed it omitted to mention that the figure was twice as high in SA. Get real John - every technology has gone through the stage where its uptake was a fiftieth of what it now is, so the currently low market share of solar PV says nothing about its future capability to do the job. Yes, I agree. It “would” have been nice for the USA to have reached an agreement with India so that the ACF could embarrass our government. But it didn’t and it won’t.
What a great way to get more taxpayer funding? I really do have to wonder about you Guy!
How is that $2.9 million going that we taxpayers gave the ACF? Still biting the hand that feeds you? If I were a dedicated member of the ACF, I would lead the call for you to stand down immediately.
There will be little mourning when the ACF members have to spend their weekends rattling donation tins in shopping centers.
So before you get even more carried away with your bulltish, the following announcements were made internationally even before you posted your article. Not that doing a bit of research or getting a few facts on the table ever bothered activists, eh?

US To Finance India’s Solar Dreams (Yeah, Right...)
CleanTechnica, 26 January 2015
“To spur the solar sector, and meet its 100 GW solar goal, India is looking for investments to the tune of a $100 billion within a period of 6–7 years” Get that through the US Republican Senate Mr. Obama?
Have a nice reality day.
