Finally a well written and extremely credible article, based on real research, as opposed to the usual plethora of dry dusty academic opinion pieces, from those long retired academics, whose only goal seems to be relying on a reputation and an alphabet soup after their name, for denying there's a problem; or the extremely credible research of others!?
Just don't hold your breath waiting for the PM to get on board; unless of course, credible research shows just how many votes he could lose by, (massive landslide) by just not doing so!

So literacy and numeracy improves, ergo pre-school is a band-aid for poor primary school? How about teaching it at primary school and doing away with the need for said band-aid.

Is pre-school another, extraordinary expensive, jobs-for-the-girls?
