By Greg Maybury, published 25/8/2014Put simply, the term 'full spectrum dominance' denotes America's plan to advance their long-term goal of total military control of every nook and cranny of the Big Blue Ball and beyond.

Simply put, the delirium seems to be mostly in the mind of the Author!?

...Not necessarily halduell, success comes through capitalism, capitalism is most threatened by democracy. There can be no lasting success without corruption and so the trail leads to China. Capitalists are currently plundering the corrupt Chinese communists, China therefore is the threat to democracy not the zionists! Call that lateral thinking!

I have sort of given up answering comments on comments on OLO but yours fascinates. If I read you correctly, success, of which there can be none lasting without corruption, comes through capitalism, and capitalism is most threatened by democracy. You then say that capitalists are now plundering China, China being both corrupt and non-democratic. So being corrupt, China is possibly a success waiting to be recognised, especially as being non-democratic it poses no threat to successful capitalism, whether Chinese or other. Like I said, fascinating... Or am I missing something? Posted by halduell, Monday, 25 August 2014 12:55:43 PM

Seems like a good summary of the situation to me.
In one way or another all of the writers featured on the Tomdispatch website proffer the same arguments - both Johnson & Bacevich were and are featured there. The same arguments are also made on the Counterpunch website. Posted by Daffy Duck, Monday, 25 August 2014 2:17:18 PM

An interesting article, one that correctly identifies the nation that the world should fear most: the U.S.
I suppose the Yank-Lovers will soon rubbish the tenant of this article which is that the U.S. will eventually bring war to every nation on Earth. Hopefully some kind, insightful soul will drop a few nukes on it first, save us from the coming nuclear firestorm which will trash our world for a million years! Why do Australians in the main worship the U.S.? Penis Envy I think it's called. Posted by David G, Monday, 25 August 2014 3:03:35 PM

Agree with you David G, the USA seems to poke its nose into all countries on earth, they always being right and every one else wrong, but they normally end up making a mess of everything they touch, wish we knew who really shot down the Malaysian flight, as one article stated Obama and Co have made no mention of it since eighth August, perhaps Putin may be let off the hook, but we will never know the truth if the good old friends of the USA did it, will we?

Unfortunately a rather realistic assessment of the ultimately dangerous situation the world is facing, notably when seen from Europe.
>> A rapprochement with Russia should be the order of the day, but instead we get old school Cold War belligerence that we all thought was well past its use by date. << There are also respectable (in addition to many not-so-respectable) American voices that assess the situation similarly,. For instance, re Ukraine: “Imagine the American outrage if China built an impressive military alliance and tried to include Canada and Mexico.” (http://www.foreignaffairs.com/articles/141769/john-j-mearsheimer/why-the-ukraine-crisis-is-the-wests-fault). How come this excellent article got so little commentary? It seems that Australia is largely inhabited by American apologists or American spies.
Will the real Australians please come back. All is forgiven! Posted by David G, Thursday, 28 August 2014 2:25:57 PM

Also to remember is that within our historical memory lies the image of Nero fiddling while Rome burned. Whether or not that image is historically accurate, it stands as an apt simile of what the Zionists are doing while America disintegrates before our eyes. And like Nero, they fail to see that if the US goes (or Rome in Nero's case), so do they.
