An open letter to PM Abbott: the choice of a lifetime : Comments

By Dino Cesta, published 31/7/2014

You can be defined as a prime minister for the ages, by sponsoring the right to die legislation, legalising same sex marriage, and accepting that climate change is real.

Dear Prime Minister,

The open letter to you from Dino Costa is a plea for help. I fully support any policy you may develop and implement that will assist the progressive cultists infecting our society, however, for the reasons stated below, I find it hard to justify spending tax payers money on any of them.

A great many people are dragged into Cults by their politics, ideology, peer groups parents or our education system, particularly humanities in Universities. They are brought up believing in a great many absurdities they later find impossible to accept.

By the time they're able to start thinking about discarding what they know full well to be a lie; they have expended a great deal of emotional and financial investments and are unwilling to admit to themselves that they have made a costly mistake. Such is human nature.

Professionals in the US offer a package called “Walk Away”. This, it seems is the only escape from cults and it primarily requires individual courage.

It seems that unless society is able to provide a “Walk Away Package” for Australian Progressives and Alarmists there is little hope for them. Especially if, as indicated by the research, people vulnerable to cults are typically those confused, fearful, guilt ridden or suffer self doubt, there seems little opportunity for them to find the “courage to walk away”.

If this is best society has to offer to victims of cults, the judgment call has to be to “let them be”. There is nothing it would seem, that reality or skepticism can offer that will be of any value and absolutely no resources should be directed to them. They are a lost cause and do not wish to be found.

Yours sincerely,

Spindoc.

To the author, while I am very sorry for your situation, all I can say is thank god you didn't touch on gay marriage and climate change, as suggested, otherwise it would have been a version of war and peace.

As for the right to die, I have to agree wit you on this one, because when it's all said and done, NOBODY asked to be born so t be forced to live, especially when suffering from a terminal illness.

As for climate change, it's a global issue and must be dealt with accordingly as going it alone, ie, the carbon tax, achieves very very little yet costs billions

Why is this utter rubbish being recirculated?

What's the point of republishing the same gutter politics from the loony-Left bloggers.

Online Opinion is turning to publish predominantly the views of extremists and loonies.

Where's any attempt at balance gone. Why not simply republic what New Matilda, Crikey, ABC The Drum, Guardian and the rest of the far Left media outlets publish?

I think it may just be a glitch (same article in two newsletter updates), as the publishing date is still the same.
