There's probably several million people who deserve the Peace prize over Bono, Sir Bob or Homer. Having said that, If these high-profile individuals wish to create focus on the peace movement, very good..

Ditto on the Geldof comment.
Indeed - what's the point of experts participating in foreign policy and crafting poverty reduction programs or people studying international relations and development at Masters level? The opinions of Bob Geldof, Bono and Angelina Jolie appear to mean more to world leaders than those qualified to comment.
