Pyne's Gonski shambles : Comments
By Dean Ashenden, published 29/11/2013Federal Education Minister Christopher Pyne is correct in saying that the Gonski scheme is a mess, but culpably wrong to use that fact to ditch the whole idea.

It is clear now that we threw out one incompetent Government and elected a worse one in its place.
Between slow talking and thinking Phoney Tony, his quick lip Pyne-chip, and Joe 'What? a Treasure?' Hockey, Australia is lost! How did such a mob of losers and misfits that made up the last Government and the Current Mob of losers and misfits ever get together? Is it a case of birds of a feather? I wonder if New Zealand would consider taking over what's left of OZ. They're pretty good at handling sheep after all! Posted by David G, Saturday, 30 November 2013 3:32:19 PM

In shirt we have the Govt that some aussies voted for. Enough to get them elected.
Got to be mindful of press releases closer to Christmas outlining or basically stopping funding or slashing jobs. These libs are two faced and Abbott hasn't been in 100 days. The non Murdoch press should be warming to their task. Summing up 100 days of bluff bluster and lies, in print! Posted by very curious, Saturday, 30 November 2013 3:35:20 PM

Could be worse.
Gillard and Abbott could reproduce. Posted by plantagenet, Saturday, 30 November 2013 3:36:33 PM

Pete, Abbott, because of his religion, would be unable to do the job on a marriage-condemning atheist!
Now Sophie would be another matter again! He could always put a bag over his head. It would help to hide his ears! Posted by David G, Saturday, 30 November 2013 3:53:24 PM

What a kafuffle.
We should just pay teachers what they are worth. We'd save billions! Posted by Hasbeen, Saturday, 30 November 2013 4:04:34 PM

The previous and current governments demonstrate just how much the current crop of politicians lack in honesty, ability and vision.
There is plenty of ego and ambition but little else. It is a sad state of affairs with little apparent solution. Maybe if I ignore them they might just go away. SD Posted by Shaggy Dog, Saturday, 30 November 2013 5:15:46 PM

To Gonski or not to Gonski,
It is beyond belief, that Tony Abbott can stand up, in front of the Australian people to defend an unequivocal lie. The fact is, that he clearly said before the election, he would be in unity with the Gonski Labor educational reform. This morning on ABC he accused the masses of what he called selective hearing by the Australian people. Christopher Pyne in his usual spineless manner has not given a worthwhile press interview for sometime. Leaving this to his leader to clean up and give an unreasonable reason. Why should the ordinary man in the street be subjected to what can only be described as dissemble, treating them with contempt and branding them ignorant by default. The sooner that this inept Government can be ousted, the sooner this country will get back to an even keel. Posted by Peek a Boo, Sunday, 1 December 2013 11:41:03 AM
