By Geoffrey Stuart, published 11/11/2013

This means that the inquiry could simply be a whitewash, given that the reasons for the dismissal of allegations could not be challenged under appeal - a basic tenet of procedural fairness.

A serious matter especially if data justifying use of new drugs or medical procedures is involved.

Meanwhile some doctors and some other professionals are a protected species - especially if they are wealthy and influential. Soft action from their professional bodies protect them from the (unfortunately) short arm of the law.

Justice is ALL about money.
Money is ALL about influence.
Influence is NOT what you are but WHO you are.
WHO you are will determine the outcome of Justice.

IE: Universities are the gate-keepers of that paved and protected road for the deserving.

Diver Dan, the author who wrote this article IS a Professor at the University he is complaining about.

So, this is one academic complaining about the conduct of others at his place of work...a University.
It isn't about the poor non-academics that you and Individual go on about at all.

If what the author says is true, then there is certainly some problems at this University.
However, I would not want to judge unless I had the other side of the story.
