By Tom Lucas, published 11/11/2013

For a government faced with what it proclaimed an 'emergency' the new government's response has been ponderous and opaque.

Seems Keating does not have a high opinion of Abbott http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WQvtq6Hn6g&list=PLFdBIryYX0NsTzFGeVEBr8vYosnRi9d0R (just 2 minutes)

He prefers republic-president-in-waiting Turnbull.

I would Sparkyq

Keating is more than one of Pilger's pet truth tellers.

Did you get a load of Tony today? In his suit, he looked like an undertaker who was caught short. Surrounded by his colleagues it looked like a Monkeys' Picnic.

Bronnie saved the day. She was positively glowing under her mantle of blonde hair, kind of like an ancient globe that was about to pop!

Did you hear the G.G. read Tony's speech? Now I know he's not Obama but surely we can't have a P.M. who needs a G.G. to speak for him.

Poor Bronnie! She will have kittens trying to control Mumbling Abbott, lisping Shorten, and all the other useless M.P.s who have never done anything with their lives according to Clive Palmer, an unassuming, modest ex-business man and billionaire.

But tomorrow is Tony's big day. He's got to front up to Question Time, sit in the chair and glare at Shorten. He must be petrified. What he could do is to copy The Man In The Iron Mask. Or Ned Kelly!

Or he could get one of those Hannibal Lecter masks without a mouth hole. He could pre-record hymns sung by Kennie Rogers and speeches by Churchill and broadcast them out of his ears at an appropriate time!
"We must fight them on the beaches....." Acoustically they'd be perfect!

But he has to stop people calling him Dumbo. It's not good for his image.

Oh you're so harsh David G

I think of Tony our own Aussie Tonto - like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FC7iUM9L1l4

Bit like Saint Mongo of Blazing Saddles. Tony only Pawn in Game of Life http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKRma7PDW10 .
