In some cases the defence lawyers can hint: where is the other guy? This is the Prince of Denmark (POD) defence. If someone significant is absent, it is said to be like staging Hamlet without the Prince of Denmark.

This was reading well until it turned into an anti-American rant. Now the whole thing is dubious.

Yeah, David. Buried in the waffle, was "let's find a novel way to kick Margaret Thatcher and the yanks."

The one about the Argie cruiser, the "General Belgrano" was a lulu.

As soon as Argentina invaded British sovereign territory, a de facto state of war existed. Complaining about sinking the Belgrano because it was outside of an exclusion zone, equates with complaining about sinking the Bismarck, because the Bismarck was leaving the Atlantic and heading for Brest.
