Unless Obama nationalises the US Federal Reserve, nothing will change. In 1913 Pres Woodrow Wilson signed away the right of Congress to create new money for the growth of the USA.

This right to own new productivity + inflationary money was given to a few private banking elites who then, controlled the West for the last 100 yrs.

Pres Dwight Eisenhower referred to them as the Military Industrial Complex. He should have adding Banking Military Industrial Complex or BMIC who now have the West by the short and curlies.

Since 1980 our Govts have sold off 4 state Govt banks + the Commonwealth. These banks via the fractional reserve system of banking were able to create from nothing money for growth ie infrastructure, education without the debt.

We are now consumed by debt and have no Govt banks to stop the decay.

Obama makes great speeches. All demagogues do. He can sell Americans a dream while their country is floundering under his leadership, and, at the same time, lay the blame off to the GOP.

These speeches are about hitting up new taxes to fund his demagogic "vision" of the country. USA, here comes your Carbon Tax.

Because Obama's election holds an almost religiously symbolic meaning for many Americans and he is a great orator, his actual performance, the unparalleled level of secrecy in his Government and the fact that he undermines the Constitution at a whim continues to escape unnoticed.

"The good old days were never that good… The good new days are today, and better days are coming tomorrow. Our greatest songs are still unsung."

It is my earnest hope that the aspirations embodied in those words may be realized - not only for the sake of the U.S., but more importantly for an infinitely brighter and more inclusive future for the whole of humanity. Perhaps no better, nor more compelling, opportunity has ever been presented than the kaleidoscope of fiscal, civil, ideological and planetary challenges of our current reality, to construct a new, and perhaps refreshingly radical way forward, a new 'paradigm'? What price wouldn't we give for a 'crystal ball' at this pendulum point in human history?

Barack Hussein Obama: Glimmer of hope in the simmering turmoil of our current global reality - but hamstrung by dark vested interests, and by the incomprehensible vacillation of the very people in whom he inspired hope, concern and optimism? What a whirlpool of paradox is manifested in the American political system.

It is a source of astonishment to me that anyone would mourn the failure of Mitt Romney's campaign (or the previous failure of McCain/Palin), let alone the substantial block which actually holds this extraordinary position. Life is full of incredible incongruities.

Regrettably, Barack's body language in his State of the Union address could not conceal a hint of desperation, a desperation to regain such a level of captivation and euphoria in his audience as he attained previously, in his initial campaign for the presidency; and, in spite of his exceedingly eloquent efforts, he failed to fully mask an underlying sliver of resignation to the whittling away of his original, and now even further extended, grand vision for America, and for the legacy he wished to impart.

In reminiscences of "Julius Caesar", the cohorts of Brutus and Cassius held stern-faced their inner mocking, as with reluctant concord they feigned support for this their leader, all-while biding time. But, in truth, did none escape clear recognition of their contempt. Barack Hussein Obama, may his vision yet prevail.
