Australia is absurd. We're upside down in more than a geographical sense.
Almost every standard of “civilisation” is inverted here.
Authoritarian, no.
Hierarchical, no.
Pretentious, no.
Extravagant, no.
Respectful, only when absolutely necessary.
Christmas in heatwaves.
Recent immigration levels and policies risk losing that atypical absurdness.
Most Asians and Middle Easterners are the exact opposite character.
The only way we could truly embrace “multiculturalism” is as another absurdity.
Yet, that's not what's preached.
We're supposed to respect, revere. Not likely.
