Do you mean the legendary 18th century British author Samuel Johnson, born 18th September 1709, died 13th December 1784?

Or is there a 200-year earlier version we haven't heard of, that your scholarship has unearthed for us?

We can assume, I suppose, that your intentions in this instance were, um, good?
