I disagree that it is being promoted. It would & will be left alone when all the debate about same-sex marriage 'dies down'.

Marriage is a social institution, not a natural one; and, certainly Not one applied to all mammals.

So, the consequent to the first half of that opening antecedent sentence is a non-sequitur - there is no argument relating marriage equality to polyamory or incest.

Frankly, the constant reference to incestuous marriage, or marrying pets, is bizzare. Reference to polyamory is more a slippery-slope & red herring.
