The terrible toll of Mexico's war : Comments

While there are no official figures for the number of deaths, the Mexican government estimates that more than 40,000 people have been murdered since 2006.

The biggest drug producers are in Afghanistan.Remember the Taliban had stopped the production in 2001 and there was a heroine drought.Now we see US Soldiers protecting the poppy crops.Afghanistan now produces 90% of the world's heroine.

The problem in Mexico is that the small operators are taking trade from the really big ones.ie the ones who control the crops in Afghanistan.
