Intellectual elites made the notion that scientific truth was merely an expression of power popular.

This article hinges around this bald statement:

"Given all this it is only right and proper to adopt a typically sceptical stance about the knowledge claims made by established Earth science; there is not sufficient evidence to assert that we know that global temperatures have been rising due to human action."

I am curious as to where this springs from? It doesn't follow from Earth Science.

It's a shame this article didn't arouse more interest because Marko makes a good point. The leftist intelligentsia have been quite vocal in the past that science is not objective, but rather, "just another perspective." Ironically, it is the leftist intelligentsia pushing so hard for an "objective" view of climate change. How these two contradictory views are reconciled is something that ought to be given more analysis.
