If you don't then it is you who is doing the 'denigration of the suffering and loss experienced by so many through no fault of their own...'

Dear imajulianutter,

I agree that it is important to know one's history
so that hopefully we will not repeat the atrocities
and tragedies. There are many books written on the
horrors and genocides not only past ones - but as
you point out - current ones. I am well aware of the
plight of the Palestinian people and hopefully one day
peace will be achieved in that region with Israel and
Palestine achieving safety and security and both
realising that they are historically destined to share
the same homeland.

However, this article is about a survivor's memoirs -
and we have to acknowledge the importance of that - and
not bring politics into it.

Anyway, that's my opinion - for what its worth.
