With health insurance companies trying to entice dentists into preferred provider schemes which will conveniently transfer the insurer's risk to the dentist, is this unconstitutional? If it not OK for government to conscript dentists, why is it OK for a company?

Should the dentist be a registered insurer? Is it compulsory?
No, but the risk of being bankrupted is certainly compelling. Not actually the barrel of a gun but the same effect when HBF WA controls 72% of the PI market.

Australian Health insurance companies are a risk to health as they introduce the alphabet soup of schemes which are failing in America, complicating the delivery and quality for patients and overturning the spirit of providers. In WA, HBF has a "new scheme" which is a smoke and mirrors intentional complexity which masks the fact that the rebate maximums remain at their 1992 level.

Nobody knows and nobody who does, cares. Be warned, dentistry is going to be distorted and drop from best to money driven, have to take the profit overservicing and hype.
