By Sean Regan, published 4/11/2011

So what does the political dimension, including teamwork, tell us about leadership in general? Probably nothing.

What is this article trying to say? What conclusions does the author want the reader to come to? Should one conclude survival of the fittest and strongest is how management should be practiced?

Using nature as a pointer is dangerous. Hunting behaviour of many species such as wolves demonstrates a high degree of team work. Amongst cattle there is a degree of truce limiting dominant bull's behaviour; collective action is taken to limit the dominant bull.

One wonders whether the author considered a potential conflict between survival of the fittest and their role with National Disability Services.

Having experienced training in the UK based on co-operation to mutual benefit vastly improve business performance and compared that to the survival of the fittest regime Regan seems to argue for I would not support what appears to be the implicit direction of this article. But perhaps Regan may become explicit with the conclusion he wishes to put before the reader.
