Sick Australians forgoing medication as out-of-pocket expenses mount.

Excellent article but dusturbing, in highlighting the power of unseen forces on our health system.

In regard to the sentence 'This is despite concession card holders being entitled to bulk billing' does this mean that as a concession card holder I can request bulk billing from my Doctor as a right?

what amazes me is that Medi-care survives, but only just.

There has been a stragedy of both federal and state governments of shifting cost onto the individual.

Under the guise of improved efficiencies, cost effectiveness the number of available public hospital beds has not kept pace with population increases.

Hence the current crisis with access to public hospital beds.
