Essentially, for Australia to get ahead, we will have to become more insular, and return to having tariffs so that people can have work, and become self sufficient in manufacturing.
I would also scale back minining and energy production to ensure we have energy and raw materials for the future of the nation.
We must aim for self sufficiency, even if it is inefficient. We must not be reliant on the vagaries, and shifting alliances of international finance, trade and politics. Export excess, by all means. But not at the expence of the welfare of our citizens.
