While we are in the topic of lack of innovative, intelligent and high-tech approaches within industries in Australia,
I did some googleing and found an Australian company that's got some interesting ideas:

Australia has all the resources needed to become a world leader in almost any industry.
We just need to step out of the box that we've confined ourselves in.
