It is that, if they had been let alone, they would have dealt with modernity on their own terms.
You Professor may have been a disciple of that class of market short sighted analyzers called Economists but have had no eyes for History.
You apparently never found out how the original colonizers of ‘Developing countries, made short work of their Leaders in order to continue the exploitation of their country,s resources.
