The motive of Israel is simple enough to understand.

There are many Jews being converted to Christianity. However, Zionism, the manisfestation of extreme Judaism, disown these Jews because for the Zionists, religion and race are rolled into one (similar to the way some Muslims treat race and religion). So e.g. a Jewish Buddhist is to them a contradiction in terms.
