Costs of solar are coming down, making the benefits even more supportable.

It is interesting that the countries who have been subsidising solar power for the longest are now all cutting back on the ridiculous feed in tariffs used to encourage the dills into the scheme.

It is a most inequitable scheme, with the poorest paying for the feed in tariff as part of their electricity bills, subsidising the well off.

There is only one more inefficient way of generating electricity than solar on the roof. That is the scheme that the UK had for a while, wind on the roof, with small turbines used to feed into the grid.

This died a death when some people did the math on their systems. Imagine the horror when they discovered their wind generator had not only not generated any useful power, it had actually drawn more power, [to keep the alternator excited], than they generated over a full 12 months of use.

Micky mouse is a great cartoon character. Micky mouse power generating systems would be just as funy, if they weren't such an expensive folly.

subsidies for solar will fall as solar arrays become cheaper.
Solar is the way to go for home based power, over 3 years i have generated one years power usage. A few more panels and i will be out of it altogether. New houses should be required to be built with solar hot water and power generation.

At it again I see 579.

The socialist way of dictating to everyone that they do as you say, is alive & well I see.

Tell me how good an investment your solar has been for you in another few years, when you have a bit more experience.

No need to tell me how bad it has been for other tax payers, we all ready know how bad it's been for us.
