By Jay Thompson, published 12/1/2011

It used to be that girls displayed their uncovered charms for men, but 'DickiLeaks' changes the poles.

I find her need for revenge interesting and it is a shame that this aspect wasn't explored. Certainly it is difficult to imagine a male member of our society thinking that this behaviour is an acceptable response to rejection. It isn't even clear what these players owed to her that she didn't get. Perhaps she is used to getting what she wants from the teenaged boys in her own social world.

I think what has stood out for me from this whole affair is the media's role in pushing train wrecks along. This young woman might feel aggrieved with the Australian football world, but her act of targeting uninvolved young men and putting their naked photos has been no solution for her.

It seems that the very taking and storing of those photos by another person was a breach of trust to begin done to those young men. Whatever those people's motives (homo eroticism etc), it doesn't make it right.

It also was not right in the release of that photo of Laura Bingle which has often been cited as a bit of fair payback for this next case and personally I'd like to see the ape who took, kept and put her photo out doing a bit of serious jail time.

Those photos having been released on the social media now would be very difficult to control. The young men targeted will now just have to laugh it off though clearly there has been a deal of personal hurt. It would be nice though if the mainstream media held back from reporting this young woman's continued activities and not show those photos for all the parties sake. She is only 17.

In South Australia the law apparently is such that she would be up on a charge. That might have been the best thing for her as a sympathetic children's court could make orders regarding her such as she stay away from football training and away from the media for her own sake. As it is the trainwreck will no doubt continue to unfold.

Sadly her activities are only making the lives of those who haven't had a fair deal in relation from organisations to greivances lives more difficult.

Rubbish article. She is nothing but a spoiled brat looking for attention.

Apparently getting changed in front of another male is now homoeroticism.

Dickileaks is urination. An anagram of urination is ruination.

It is a bit hard to actually know what this article is about, is it about nude photos, homoeroticism, or a young woman out of control seeking to do as much damage as she possibly can.

Unlike the author I have not seen the photos so cant actually comment on them.

The media fed off of this stuff. Like blowflies to a carcass, the merest smell of a juicy scandal. Hence the media attention is like oxygen to fire, the more media attention the bigger the flames.

Michelangelo's statue David, then there are the Pompeii frescos, that when discovered were deemed to shocking for women to see.

Some of the temples around certain countries have statues, in certain poses, that are by todays definition are classified as pornographic.

One can only assume that erocticism has been around for a very long time.

Lol! Great article.

I loved the humerus way the author treated this story, even though it was certainly not humerus for all those involved.

I saw two of the photos, and one of them shows the footy player positioned facing the camera in an obvious pose - he is naked and has his genitals displayed in his hands, so the viewer can get a good look at his equipment.

He seems proud to stand there, and doesn't look surprised or horrified, like Lara Bingle did in the nude shower photo taken of her without her consent.

So no, I don't feel sorry for the guy at all, and I am all for equality in the viewing of nude photos :)

This turning of the tables may cause some of the bad boy footballers to become enlightened. Maybe penetrate the big foggy sex blog in their brains.

Don't think so though. It's too much of a handicap.

So Suze wouldn't be too angry if someone posted naked pictures of her on Facebook?

Personally, I would want her arrested and charged with something. Despite all of the progress we have had, the footballers still couldn't be seen to be to mean to this "poor defenseless girl." She could be as mean as she wanted, because footballers are "real men" and real men don't have feelings. These attitudes should be a thing of the past.

@ dane - "she is nothing but a spoiled brat looking for attention." Well, of course she's looking for attention! And she's getting attention, too! She's standing up to one of the biggest Boys Clubs in Melbourne town (the AFL), so I say good on her! You may choose to disagree ...

@ JamesH - it goes without saying that yes, eroticism has indeed been around for a long time. Though in my own opinion, these photos are almost hilariously cheesy.

Benk wants her arrested and charged with something.

Well, I imagine that if we went down the path of tracking down all the nude photos posted on the internet without the subject's consent, we would see literally thousands more men 'charged with something' than women.

Sounds good to me.

Bad, bad Suze, you know that Benk can generalise about women all he likes, but when you generalise about men you will be outed as a man hater.

It's like this:

Lara Bingle was a slut for sleeping with a man to whom she wasn't married, therefore deserved having her distressed naked form plastered all over the internet. Loose women must be punished.

The St Kilda players were deliberately posing nude for their team mates - this is all good male bonding stuff and therefore, it is very bad for a woman/girl to post these photos online, ergot she should be punished too.

After all this is the 1950's, isn't it? Get with the times.

When it comes to sex, everyone has a set of values, how ever not every one has the same set of values.

This is what is known as values conflict.

It would seem to me that there is a constant sex war going on and perhaps it has been happening since adam and eve.

@ James H = debates around pornography, prostitution, S/M, and even same-sex marriage would certainly suggest that the "sex wars" have long been with us. And they'll be with us for decades after DickiLeaks has faded from memory.

I'm less certain about what Adam and Eve were up to back in the day ...

Regardless what pranks men and women sports people might get up to in private they are entitled to their privacy and the full protection of available law, like anyone else. The gender of the offender or the victims shouldn't matter, all should be treated equally in law enforcement.

There are always the pathetic Bogans who would scoff at the invasion of privacy and embarrassment of others and that is why the tabloid media, shock jocks and current affairs shows exist

Lol! I don't believe I have met you before on this forum JParker?

I think I have already been 'outed as a manhater' Parker, but only by the men on this forum who hate women!

I only dislike misogynists.
I quite like most other men :)

Have you actually seen the photo in question JParker?
I must say I wasn't aware that the average heterosexual male footballer liked posing nude for his mates to take photos of his genitals, while he proudly holds them forth for a closer shot,
whether they are 'bonding' or not?

Even a cursory glance at the girl's behaviour suggests that she is quite a troubled young woman - and even more troubled if she really believes that making a spectacle of herself (as well as the young men in the photos) is going to bring her any sense of peace and satisfaction.

If she was so apallingly treated by the AFL, that's an awful hole to be in, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. But this is girl is trying furiously to dig herself out of said hole, and I really can't see it ending well for her (I don't give a [expletive deleted] about the AFL, they're rich enough and powerful enough to look out for themselves).

When I was 17, I was stupid and impulsive, as all 17 year olds are. I made stupid decisions that I now regret, but at least I didn't make them for all of Australia to see. When she's older and has a bit more wisdom under her belt, I strongly suspect that this poor girl is going to so deeply regret her immature actions and the consequences thereof that she'll need many years of expensive psychotherapy. There's no fool like a young fool.
