Sydney the stage for human rights activists' defence of small farmers : Comments

In Australia small to medium scale farmers are in retreat unable to secure the human right to grow their own food.

*Indian population had stability till 1800 - colonisation, dispossession of land started to make our population grow.*

That is from Vandana's article. Sheesh, there was silly old me,
thinking that modern medicine stopped them dying as they used to.

Now we just blame it all on globalisation. Never mind that Indian
farms became smaller and smaller over the generations, as farms
were split amongst ever more kids. Never mind the extra 20 million
a year to feed. Never mind that population is growing fastest
in rural areas. Just feed em leaves and all will be well.

What a wonderful scapegoat!
