Rising sea levels endanger our coastal cities and coastline, not immediately but certainly in this century.

after decades of failed predictions the alarmist now focus on the next turn of a century knowing that they can;t be held accountable for their stupidity. I feel sorry for true scientist who are actually rational. Unfortunately they are becoming rarer as many cave in to the adamic nature by accepting this fantasy in order to protect and further their careers.

Interesting that you should bring up Judith Curry's name, Alice.

Dr. Curry was recently treated to an outrageous hatchet job in 'Scientific American', by Michael Lemonick.

Dr. Curry responded, in part, by noting Lemonick's rather telling choice of word: 'heretic'. To be a heretic, she noted, means that one must be in conflict with established dogma. Dogma, she further points out, is 'the established belief or doctrine held by a religion, ideology or any kind of organization: it is authoritative and not to be disputed, doubted, or diverged from.'
