Back to flat tax? The Coalition and the Henry Review : Comments

With the Coalition talking about tax reform, what are the implications of the Henry Review proposals on a flat income tax?

The whole debate about reforming income tax is a distraction from the fact that there is no need for income tax; see http://www.onlineopinion.com.au/view.asp?article=10792 and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ozgeo/message/197 .

So we shouldn't be talking about alleviating problems by simplifying income tax; we should be talking about eliminating problems by eliminating income tax!
