So Australia is making head way in India to reduce their belief that Australians are racist. I can only ask how you think Indians are doing over here. In my opinion Indians are very racist, they are fiercely patriotic and that always leads to racism.

Howard simply reaped the results of his politics over the last 10 years.

His stance on Zimbabwe was to be admired, but his sniping at other countries in asia, his wading into cricket issues, and his lack of objectivity in his sporting comments and attitudes, was always going to be a problem.

No sympathy from this quarter.

After the racist and insulting behaviour of the non-white cricket cartel with regard to John Howard’s nomination, it would be best if Australia stopped playing cricket with them, and stuck with New Zealand and England.

India, the worst offender in the insult stakes, is a very poor sport, particularly when it loses and then finds any little reason to call Australia a ‘racist country’.

The ‘racist country’ is India itself, as has been proved by the appalling resistance to our ICC nominee. Not only is India racist, it also knows that John Howard would be on their tails, stamping out virulent corruption. Despite the claims of Howard-hating Australians about Howard’s political career (and how nasty and bitchy they really are, linking Howard’s politics with his clear managerial abilities and zero tolerance of graft and corruption) the man was nominated by Australia, accepted by England and acknowledged by New Zealand’s Prime Minister to be a better candidate than their own.

The whole thing is a racist insult to an eminent and well qualified Australian and to all white cricketers and their supporters.

“John Howard's criticism of Sri Lankan spinner Murali was too harsh.” Rubbish! The man was a chucker, as anyone could see. If a white cricketer was doing what he did, he wouldn’t get away with it as Murali did. The whole organisation was far too tolerant to people who start screaming about anything they think or imagine white cricketers have done to them.

As for the shockingly rude and biased writer of this article, how could anyone suggest that John Howard took too hard a line against the ex-terrorist and murderous dictator of Zimbabwe! It has to be admitted though, that Howard was silly to lobby Zimbabwe when he should have known what the irrational maniac Mugabe would do.

Although I was horrified at the time by what one of Australia’s best bowlers said about who should be playing cricket, and who should not, I now think – after the continual names we are now called by non-white people enjoying our hospitality – that he might have been right.

John Howard should hang onto his candidature; we should break off cricket relations with the sub-continent, and Rohit Revo should take his paper back to India.

JWH (your hero) got what he deserved - disrespect, for everything he's done regarding cricket, Indians, immigration, etc. As a matter of fact I think he should be tried for treason and jailed for the rest of his life, you and everyone else would know why.

Just for your info: I am not an Indian or a Zimbabwean, I am a "17 yo Australian" who speaks English and other languages and cricket is not the sport I prefer to watch.

Someone who has 27 yo daughter cannot be that young, can he? Then of course you wouldn't know this.
