Kevin07 couldn’t possibly have foreseen the tsunami-like wave of opposition from voters and his own party that was about to wallop him.

Yes Stephen Hagan. And the same can be said about the appropriateness of his policies overall, or the appropriateness of the way he went about addressing them.

Utterly hopeless Rudd policies/philosophies:

greatly boosting immigration without any warning as soon as he became PM,

a ‘big Australia’, without any justification, but rather, just some innate sense that this country and its population had to be much bigger.

Reasonable policies but with hopeless implementation:

ETS,

home insulation,

mining tax.

Put all these and a bunch of other things together and you could see Rudd’s demise coming a long time before it happened.

He couldn’t possibly have foreseen it in 07, but he could certainly have foreseen it some months before he was rolled.
