Kevin’s heart and Julia’s passion : Comments

By Carol Johnson, published 30/6/2010

Unfortunately Rudd may be remembered as the Prime Minister who stumbled and blubbered in a farewell speech that many found almost too painful to watch.

I'm a man and don't share the author'[s femocentric view of Gillard.

I see nothing older sisterish nor motherly in Gillard.

I see a 50 year old spinster with limited life experience who offers advice like an 'all knowing' older school teacher and is unlikely to ever 'connect' with anyone other than those who share her very limited life view.

Roll on the election and we'll see just how disconnected she is with real people.

Gillard looks good to me, compared to the fantasy driven Abbott.
Don't expect miracles from them, tho- then you won't be let down.

Hi Socratese, just to point out that actually it was Kevin Rudd who described himself as having "blubbered" in his final speech as PM.

Oh being “let down” by the liberals is nothing...

The consequences are akin to slipping off a side walk and spraining an ankle

Versus

Being “let down” by Labor, which, by the way they handle the economy is more like

being thrown bodily off a 100 foot cliff and told to save yourself

As far as miracles are concerned, normal Liberal “human” performnance is all that is required, rather than Socialist airy-fairy notions of how to screw a robust and healthy economy.

As for Kevins “Heart” and Julies “Passion”

Trade them both for Liberal Logic and Common Sense....

I can already generate all the “heart” and “passion” I can handle but in politics “logic” and “common sense” are in short supply and seem to be monopolised by the right.
