The percentage of food consigned to the rubbish tip insults my sense of decency.

Having when young suffered hunger before and during WW2 to the point of starvation, seeing the content of the bins of refuse at supermarkets and the loaves of bread disappearing from the shelves of bakeries at exactly 5pm each evening, is real pain to me.

I believe that projects as the ones you foster would be much less difficult if the people of rich countries were to know the value of a crumb of bread or a grain of rice

skeptic, agreed, but my experience of aid programs, both domestic & international is that they are designed to create & maintain poverty, everywhere.

The first world is busy bankrupting itself in order to do it & the third world corrupt governments are supported by it.

So they can continue oppressing their people.

Arjay, spot on mate, have you seen this one?

http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/archivos_pdf/nonedarecallit_conspiracy.pdf

There was a sequel to it, written after the 1987 stock market crash which i have not been able to obtain yet. Then another one about the Red/green movement & scams like "Carbon Trading" which you can see here.

Bob Geldorf learnt the hard way, when he was going to solve the
hungry people problem. When the went back twenty years or so
later, there were twice as many to feed.

You won't solve the world's hunger problem, unless you give
people the choice as to how many kids they are going to have
with good old family planning, which is still missing in much
of the third world.

Send more boatloads of food, more healthier people will have
sex, even more babies will be waiting to be fed. Its so
bleeding obvious.

The religious, ie the Catholic Church and others are fighting
this one all the way, but crossing your legs for Jesus is
a dismal failure and until they address that one, you will
continue to have ever more hungry people.
