The deadly Israeli raid on a flotilla bringing relief to besieged Gaza has brought the simmering crisis to a dangerous boil.

Forkes, Australia should cut all ties with Israel and begin to cut ties with America, Israel's major supporter and killing partner.

If Australians could get to know what is really happening in Palestine and thought more about what's behind America's constant warmongering, I'm sure they would support my suggestion.

Absolutely, and the quicker the better! Which is why I was disappointed earlier this year to hear our prime minister promising Australia's unshakable support for Israel. And that our "defense" forces purchased their bullets from Israel now. If a pipsqueak little country like Israel can afford to make and export ammunition, how come a clever country like Australia can no longer do the same, as we once did? More work from our treasonous politicians, I suppose.

As Turkey is currently conducting joint operations against the Kurdish people, within Kurdistan (the autonomous region in Northern Iraq), Turkey's value as an ally to both Israel & the USA is now nil, or perhaps less than that.

Turkey's latest offer, to take the refined Uranium/Plutonium from Iran, is sure to raise some eyebrows given the Islamic policies of Turkey's President/Prime Minister (who have basically thrown Ataturks reforms out the window).

Fortunately, the US Army built two large Military Airfields in Kurdistan before this happened, the reason they had to do so was that the Turks refused to allow them to operate from Incirlik Airbase (the only reason the "alliance" still existed to begin with).

Israel & the USA's only real allies in the region are Azerbaijan and Kurdistan, both of which are immensely wealthy, both of which border on Iran and both of which are more than happy to purchase as many American/Israeli Arms as possible.

As to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, of course the closing of the borders has caused mass unemployment, the only employment within the Gaza Strip was in the Government or for Israeli Settlements as day labor, no Infrastructure has ever been built to allow the place to be economically viable, without continued AID.

Maybe the people of Gaza will one day wake up, continue to support Terrorists and the border will continue to remain closed. There cannot be a two state solution while one remains determined to wipe out the other by force of arms. It is not for Israel to decide to work with Hamas, they have offered and been knocked back, it is time for Hamas to offer to work with Israel, the hand has been open for some time, it has just been ignored in favor of the gun.

PS The reason that Hamas will not work with the Palestinian Authority, is due to the fact the PA is massively corrupt and notoriously inefficient (Hamas grew from an organisation providing aid where the PA didn't).

I think we need a list of Israeli products that we can boycott now.Israel is out of control and many of their own people recognise this now.

Just a conventional with Iran will see oil prices soar and the Global recession deepen drastically.Nuclear war will be a disaster.

Don't worry, folks. Israel is going to mount an inquiry into its attack on the terrorist Aid Convoy.

The committee it seems is made up of three Israeli Jews and two foreign observers who don't have voting rights. This will mean that Israeli justice will prevail, just like it did when Israel carried out its genocide on Gaza and killed 1,400 Palestinians and then imposed a three year blockade to starve them and stop them getting medical supplies!

What's the betting that the most moral army in the world will be found to be innocent of all charges along with all Israeli politicians and America will support this ridiculous conclusion.

Any takers?

Any evidence on the blockade of medical supplies David, or just more of the same?

As to Israeli products, sure, boycott away... They own the patents on the drip irrigation systems that are used extensively, the majority of life-saving machinery in Emergency Rooms and other parts of the Hospitals, pretty much every form of high intensity, low water loss irrigation system yet devised and a lot of others...

You could also suggest the ADF stop buying rounds off them (particularly the 50 Caliber and 9mm rounds that they use widely in Afghanistan).

But then of course, you'd have the obvious return boycott, not just on Australian products, but on the supply of professional services and advice to Australia. But why am I discussing this with you trolls?

You couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery, so your chances of organising a boycott are non-existent.
