This article is interesting, not for what it said but for what it didn't say.
Being able to identify the Predators of Press Freedom is fine but it doesn't take a chart or two to determine that media censorship is alive and well. However, it is editorial control which is flourishing in the world of the disliked ex-Australian Murdoch. The media empire he was allowed to create by devious means still exists in this country and will remain so while they are able to generate revenue and dictate to governments, his favourite sport. Or perhaps until he passes on, whichever is the sooner.
Then if one cares to look at the same city as the UNESCO headquarters, the oft-touted "newspaper of record", the disgraceful New York Times is the greatest example of the lack of freedom of news detail, not quite the same as freedom of the press. Sure, the now insipid NYT journalists have the freedom to write so long as it conforms to the the Israeli dictates, the controlling influence in that part of the world. And that's the way it is, resting with the dictates of the owner. In the case of Fox News, we daily see the trash that emanates from the tame journalists in his employ.
A quick jet flight across the Pacific and we see The Australian with its Jewish sycophants mouthing off the script, probably from Murdoch's own hand but penned under the name of Greg Sheridan.

Summarising, the real frightening news, murder, the dispossession of land through the killing of civilians, the bulldozing of Palestinians property and on, never appears in those publications controlled as they are in the USA by Zionists and in Australia, by Murdoch with his Jewish heritage and the titular control by the Likkud party in Israel.

So it is not so much a 'Thorn in the side of the predators of press freedom' as stated, but more a pin-prick in the side of the manipulators of the real truth which vanished from the pages of most of the world's publications a long, long time ago.

The biggest threat to press freedom doesn't even rate a mention in this article.
Which "religion of peace" has cowed the "free" press into submitting to their demands not to print, publish or depict any words or images which might be perceived as an insult to the founder of that religion?
By now all you left-wingers are thinking evangelical Christianity or the religious right,
so I'll give you a clue:
The name of the religion means submission.
