The risk of airline terrorism will never be zero. But let's try not to panic.

It makes me wonder if anyone who actually catches a plane endorses this security at all.

The amount of times I was forced to throw away perfectly good toothpastes, sunscreens and drinks- just to see the exact same (perfectly ignitable) alcholic and perfume chemicals on the OTHER SIDE OF THE SECURITY ZONES.

These days I loathe the idea of traveling overseas on holidays, simply because of the flights!

Mobile phones should be switched off for ALL flights, labelled, handed to flight staff, put in a box and collected after the planes have landed and passengers disembarked by two armed security guards employed to be present on board every Australian flight.

These security guards could possess an Australian airforce/military background and be paid well by airline companies after a regulation/act is legislated and implemented enforcing airline companies to comply.

With an airforce background these 'security guards' may also be in a position to assist with pilot related issues during problematic flights or could be of assistance with an engineering background [perhaps a retired engineer]who is healthy and fit seeking some casual work.

Food for thought.
