Costello's salary was $316,000 plus in 2017. A fair whack from the donations of people on far less than that. He wouldn't have a clue. Was always a nasty, people-hater; never a good word to say about anyone - always whining and demanding money. A typical example of hate-your-own-people. Good riddance to him.

Personally I would much rather the Government gave more to countries and people that needed it instead of giving millions or even billions to charlatans in the gw scam. What a waste it was for the Qld Government to spend more than 300000 on Gore to make schoolgirls cry and to facilitate Jacki Trad going weak at the knees.

Chief bludger of a bludging organisation.

Nothing he ever said was anything but a waste of CO2 laced hot air.

Nathan j in asking the question you got your answer in a far different way than expected
Every reply seems to confirm the bloke has got it right
Even hate, directed at him, because he dared to highlight the great gulf between the haves and the have nots
Once, seemingly no longer [at least here] we cared for others
Some now get joy out of blaming the poor for being poor
Relax, while it is true we have many more who think like that, this place is not representative of the real world

The pathetically small amount of foreign aid we give to the Pacific region, Vanuatu $70m and Fiji $65m to name two. No one should be surprised if a more generous benefactor such as the Peoples Republic of China should step in and pick up the slack. In return the grateful Islanders could offer the Chinese a mutual partnership, whereby the Chinese set up military bases etc on the islands, point their missiles westward towards any belligerent nations that keep sucking up to that super belligerent nation to the east. That would keep everyone happy, Australia keeps it money for middle class welfare, the Islanders get much needed aid, and the Chinese feel a little bit safer from perceived aggressors. win, win, win situation.
