Paul,

Good to see that you are around, perhaps you'd be so good as to tell us why you would disarm the law abiding before disarming the criminals?

I've looked at the various Green's sites but whilst they have a lot to say about curbing legal ownership of firearms they have nowt to say about disarming the criminals and they are equally silent when it comes to terrorists.

Issy, when that bloke shot you in the head, he probably seen you as a "home invader". Were you in someone else's "home"at the time?

Indy, you have fallen out of your tree again, please climb back in.

So grandmother who has been knocked down at the ATM and had her bag stolen is in the wrong, she should have carried a shot gun
Woman bashed in the isle inside a shop just because the offender could? gun lady!
Truth is firing a weapon while both eyes are closed will not be much help, to the check out chick killed at least
Still see the thread as a way to promote gun use by the frail, but know it is silliness

Hi Belly,

What the misguided on here advocate is virtually unrestricted gun laws, as practised in the US, where all are safe from gun violence, and there is never anything like mass shootings. These guys represent the Australian chapter of the NRA of America. Issy should fill us in on all the secret money they receive from the NRA, people bring in less that $10k at a time.

Paul,

Still evading the embarrassing questions, seems to be a habit with you and Belly is catching it too.

Belly,

Just to remind you and as you probably can't find your way to your OP.

"Past week, nearly every week has been one of home invasions and bashing of elderly homeowners
And after arrest you can be forgiven if you think the people arrested are the victims not the other way around
Why are the gutless younger people targeting the aged
Past week, nearly every week has been one of home invasions and bashing of elderly homeowners
And after arrest you can be forgiven if you think the people arrested are the victims not the other way around
Why are the gutless younger people targeting the aged
Why are we not protecting our elderly
Maybe if we consider recent court out comes we will start to think about these questions"

We are not protecting the elderly because of stupid, gutless laws that make it a criminal offence for them (or anyone else) to have anything for the purpose of self defence.

What would you do to protect the elderly?

As the initiator of this thread, you surely have some ideas.
