Bazz, mate, we are both getting a bit old but gee, sky/fox is a propaganda factory
Rupert just bailed Fox out with a 300 million gift, and will probably pay another 200 million within a month
Judge both by their viewers/customers
And do not forget their numbers
Goebbels would be proud of them both
But even Rupert must face the fact they are on the nose and he can not forever bail them out

Dear Belly,

I wrote on another thread that Bill Shorten
has long been under-estimated. He wouldn't make it as
a unionist, they said. Yet at the age of 31 he became
Victoria's Secretary of the Australian Worker's Union
in 1998 and National Secretary 3 years later.

He wouldn't survive the cut and thrust of political
life, they said. Yet he won pre-selection and a seat
in parliament and he was a more than effective
parliamentary secretary and minister during the Rudd -
Gillard years, spear-heading the creation of NDIS.

Against all odds, in 2013 Shorten won a ballot against
Anthony Albanese to lead the federal Labor Party.
As Opposition Leader he saw off two PMs - Tony Abbott and
Malcolm Turnbull. Shorten has now been Labor leader for
longer than Paul Keating, Kevin Rudd, or Julia Gillard.

In just a few days Bill Shorten might well be Australia's
31st Prime Minister.

Foxy yes you know my form, I take the big stick to those in my party I name rats in the ranks
You too, saw me speak of knowing Bill first as senior union delegate, then as an official
Bill like me, came from the AWU side in a merger that saw the Iron Workers virtually takeover
[We are one again] for a while it nearly fell over, that merger, Bill held it together
He will be confronted by a hostile senate, may/probably will, be forced to call a double dissolution election in his first 18 months
By then the constructed lies about him will have failed, not however the rumors without substance
This government always neglects policy in favor of mud when its back is to the wall

Dear Belly,

I had little idea of Bill Shorten's background.
I am becoming more impressed however, the more
I learn about him. I guess it just goes to show
that we should not pre-judge people. It's their
actions that will matter in the case of the
Prime Ministership - as well as the policies
and their implementation. Bill Shorten is a
good negotiator from what I've read - so he
should be able to implement the policies that
have been put forward - for the good of the
country.

Indy, are you in favour of Morrison's action of allowing two confessed mass murderers into the country. Because the Americans said we had to take them. Morrison is keeping Australia safe, what a joke! Maybe the Yanks will take Ivan Millet and Martin Bryant off our hands in exchange, not bloody likely!
