Is is possible the ABC does not have enough money to report protein deficiency malnutrition and increase in maternal mortality and Diabetes II among seafood dependent island people?
Coinciding with worsening fish depletion in SW Pacific Ocean waters off Australia's shore.

Make no mistake. During 2815 the Secretariat of the Pacific Community reported populations of the four main Pacific tuna species had reached historically low levels.
Google; national geo ninety percent big fish gone.

As for small fish, Australian aquaculture sometimes imports small fish to feed farmed fish.

This is not about extinction. This is about people without affordable and adequate essential nutrition. And its about ongoing and worsening damage to the Great Barrier Reef that is a national and international tourism attraction and drawcard.

Impact and consequences are all worsening because our ABC is gagging indicative evidence that should be leading to debate and proper solutions. Such as reducing the nutrient load to reduce algae blooms and mass.

Mitch Fifield, minister '' responsible” for the ABC, has made his sixth complaint to the corporation in five months. Complaints? Surely, he as a government minister supposed to be overseeing a government 'department’ has more clout than a complainant.

However, the complaint itself was really just a whinge about the ABC’s reporting of a “Labor lie” to do with something unimportant to those paying for the ABC, and Mr. Fifield's wages, about by-election dates. Purely party-political and nothing to do with the performance of a billion dollar per year weight around the neck of taxpayers. It is quite clear that both parties are totally disinterested in reforming, disciplining or abolishing the ABC. They are too busy jockeying for the goodwill of the organisation and hoping something nice will be said about them, totally unable to get the obvious fact that the ABC is now more a creature of the extreme Greens and neo-Marxists than it is of either Liberal or Labor.

So, long-suffering taxpayers will just have to endure the burden of the ABC as long as our stupid political class naively believes that the public broadcaster will throw them a few crumbs and keeps handing out money over to it for their own corrupt, selfish reasons.

Selfish political reasons, ttbn.
Surely ABC news and current affairs should also be fair and reasonable, especially to people in need? Including people who need affordable seafood.

And whole communities and even the nation need the GBR international tourism drawcard.

Anyway, History is being written, our ABC of this day and age is letting the GBR and ocean ecosystems die, without news and debate toward solutions.

There is nothing like a gripe about nothing, if people prefer to bye imported fish that is their business.
Was this main stream news or entertainment.
You need to get a good grip of the dial and switch to off. All of this stress the ABC causes you will drive you to drink, or is that the problem.

doog,

It's malnutrition involving increase in diabetes and non communicable disease and dead unborn babies among Australia's seafood dependent island neighbours, that's being gagged and not reported and solved, that's driving me.
Producing underwater film led me into learning about the situation. Should I just ignore it all and watch the phony ABC political 'news and current affairs'?

What do you spend your time on, doog? Maybe you follow the animal welfare activists that ignore human misery linked to inadequate affordable nutrition.
And I don't get drunk.
