Whether it's street violence or domestic violence the politician class all over Australia are failing to legislate to compel the judiciary to confront violence, and failing to rule for the 24 million Australians who are at risk from violent criminals while the politicians and the judiciary protect the violent criminals who prey on us.

Although drug pushers and financial swindlers need to be combated (as they are) there needs to be a serious and sustained targeting, by our rulers, of the actual perpetrators of vandalism and violence, on behalf of the 24 million victims and potential victims - or the issue will have to be pressed at the ballot box.

The likes of Potato Head Dutton use public hatred of violent criminals as a propaganda weapon in mere Tweedledum Tweedledee competition for the temporary fruits of office. But they do diddly-squat to legislate to confront the violent criminals.

A citizen can choose not to be a victim of drug pushers and not to blunder into a bad financial decision, but victimhood is compulsory at the hands of street thugs and wife-bashers.

There is too much talk and not enough punishment.
