I watched a unique youtube regarding historic property 'Dalemain' in the United Kingdom.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YpsFFL8XBc

Dalemain has been lived on by the Hazel family for over 350 years.

Mr Edward Bowman Junior fell in love with a Miss Fancis Haswell.

Mr Bowman built a home like Dalemain, (Martindale Hall, South Australia) to present to Francis to attract her to Australia, but Francis didn't feel comfortable leaving her home country.

Martindale Hall, was later gifted to the people of South Australia.

Australia's cultural history has in depth connections with other countries and goes back much longer than many realise.

Why politicians are being singularly targeted here, based upon their cultural background is ethically questionable, racially divisive and nothing short of a disgrace.

The Law is an ass , the donkey voters are mules and "foreign" which meant non-British now means British. Pollies have rhinoceros hide and polly polls by dual citizens are crackers.

"Why politicians are being singularly targeted here, based upon their cultural background is ethically questionable, racially divisive and nothing short of a disgrace."

I disagree, Nathan. The 'disgrace' lies with the politicians who know so little about, or completely ignore, the Australian Constitution, to which they are bound.

Also a 'disgrace' is the lack of action by Turnbull and Shorten who are playing politics for their own advantage. I think it is time that the Governor General did step in to break the deadlock.

I'll say it again: the only people who have done the right thing - despite their initial blunder - in this matter are the two Green senators who had the decency to resign and not play politics as the other exposed politicians and the yet to be exposed politicians have done.

Australia is becoming more fragmented by the day. The fact that the big deal at the moment is SSM when we have a Constitutional crisis looming is more than a disgrace.

The disgrace is that supposedly educated people are unable (or, perish the thought, unwilling), to fill out a simple form correctly.

Yes I agree, why only politicians.

Time to chuck out any bureaucrats who hold dual citizenship.

A definite qualification for a job in any level of the bureaucracies must be the applicant holds Australian citizenship, & only Australian citizenship.
