Education a delicious menu? Or junk food?

Rather than having a well 'educated' debate on education, Christopher Pyne MP has simply taken some of his favourite people out to dinner, the taxpayer is paying for it - and the final result comes out reading reasonable to the average person. Well done.

However where are the real reforms to vastly improve education - across the board? Many students come out of school with no idea for the future.

Elements like music are listed in the article. Very good, but I didn't get lessons (at primary school) and had to do private music lessons as a 'club of teachers' would only take small groups - and the majority missed out.

The Instrumental Music Service (S.A) provides lessons for some individuals/small groups of (public school) students. A new plan to re-direct these teachers into a (general) Primary School program for all students - was opposed.

If Christopher Pyne says education is the responsibility of the states, he should take it away from them now - to remove silly and petty politics.

Education is Junk food for some, they don't want or need to be there. Life skills are far more useful than a head full of junk that will never be used.
Education alone will not guarantee your success as a person, and will not fill your pockets with cash.
Apprentiseships were meant to start at sixteen,or before.
Acadamia will see you as a subway sandwich maker.
Not all people were meant to be educated with useless facts and figures, and then expected to run a life without any lifeskills.
I would rather have an endenture of apprenticeship hanging on the wall than a diploma of everything being prescented at mcdonalds.
Chances are you will be bypassed as over qualified, whatever that means.
