Hello Everyone,

I am student and i was just wondering as part of an independent research project, if this statement relates to any parent:

"Childcare impacts parents choices and is not accessible to all families due to cost"

I am looking for any parent willing to take part in this discussion and share how they manage with/ without childcare and possible alternative taken. Thank you all! Hope to hear from you soon (:

I wish you good luck, admin has already posed the question look at those results below your request.
While not using the system [too old now].
May I point out a few things, as an ex union official I know a bit about it.
Costs are back breaking for sections of the community.
It should be noted SOME earn $600 a week gross, and need more just to pay off the home.
Some are single parents and never will even own a home.
Those WORKING in this industry too suffer.
Very low wages, very often below award/minimum wages.
SOME can aford the costs, some eat less to pay them.
No one cap fits all.
Latch key kids and children in day care are not all neglected by choice.
Good luck.
